I’d snort a line of army ants

If you’re in a hurry, I wrote a love song to our son called “Britney Spears.”

Since my last note, we watched Charlie and the Chocolate factory and he loved it, of course. But he kept saying “That’s Ai” and we explained that no, it was made in 2005 – that’s special effects 🙂

He’s a maker. Always drawing, cutting paper, and writing songs. So we got him magnets to create mismatched creatures on the fridge. And we’re all enjoying it.

Speaking of fantastic creatures…

I just interviewed Steve Earle for my Song Diving podcast (!?!?). That will be up soon.

Next week is my conversation with Jose Gonzalez.

I just finishing reading “The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating.” Part memoir part biology lesson.

I love the way they can recoil and say “nobody’s home.”

Much like our beloved hermit crabs.

Annnnnd…I’m coming out of my shell next week for a show:

Friday, March 27th at 9pm
The Station Inn
Nashville, TN
With ith my pals Lacy Green, Adam Wright, and Thomm Jutz

And now…about that song I wrote for our son. It’s called “Britney Spears.”

And here’s some context 🙂

It’s getting warmer. Don’t you need an armadillo tee shirt?

Thanks y’all,

Dean
